LabNI fa parte del dipartimento di Neuroscienze dell'Università degli Studi di Torino e opera in collaborazione con il dipartimento di Neuroscienze dell'Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria “Città della Salute e della Scienza”, presidio Molinette e con il dipartimento di Radiologia e Neuradiologia del San Giovanni Bosco. Al gruppo afferiscono professionalità provenienti da background differenti: medici, tecnici, statistici e fisici. L'obiettivo del gruppo è l'utilizzo di moderne tecniche computazionali per migliorare la comprensione dell'architettura neurocognitiva umana (normale e patologica). Negli ultimi anni l'attività di ricerca è stata ampliata grazie a collaborazioni nazionali e internazionali sia sul versante biotecnologico che sul versante computazionale.

Vogliamo ringraziare il professor Mortara grazie a cui tutto è iniziato e i dottori Laura Orsi, Andrea Boghi e Paola Caroppo che erano lì a costruire il laboratorio in mezzo a tante difficoltà con impegno e passione. Si sono trasferiti in altri luoghi ma vogliamo ricordare il loro prezioso contributo.
